Why are you dressed like a Korean hostess...

I RECEIVED THESE SHORTS . . . in the mail when I came home for the weekend from college and could not have been more excited to wear them! My mom immediately said they were only "party" appropriate but I begged to differ. We went to the mall to get my watch sized today and I decided to slap these babies on. She, of course, then proceeded to ask me, "Why are you dressing like a Korean hostess who works at a place where men go to have fun?" ...Whatever, she still took my blog photos. (I'm full Korean by the way.) On a sidenote, still never taking these Wildfox platforms off.

Also I met a viewer today! It was another surreal moment in my otherwise quite mundane life. I can never get over the wave of awkwardness I feel when I meet viewers for the first time but it's always an awesome experience so thanks so much for introducing yourselves if and when you ever see me around. Hi, Jessica, if you're reading! It was so great meeting you.

  3. Oh mothers...
I can't believe your mother said that! Well actually, I can. That seems like something my mom would say to me on one of the days when I'm feeling "experimental" with my wardrobe. Too funny :)

Despite what your mom thought, I think you look pretty fabulous in this outfit Amy! The shorts are really fun with all the sequins in the various unexpected colors. There's almost a sort of camo design going on that makes the sequins somewhat less noticeable...or something like that. I think your chambray shirt does a good job of dressing down the shorts and making them appropriate for daytime wear. Then those platforms kick things up quite a notch! Those things look pretty killer and they make your legs look so insanely long! Jealousy is kicking in a bit...

That's so cool that you ran into a reader today. It must have been quite an exciting experience!
Hope you're enjoying your President's Day weekend!
