The Dip-Dyed Hair Post

I made a whole entire video on how to dip dye your hair but if you want to save yourself the heinous voice (yes that's mine), I'll just type it out for ya!

You'll need:
Splat! Hair Kit
Bowl
Toothbrush/brush
Smock + old t-shirt
Foil

Blend a little bit of everything that's in the kit into a ceramic bowl and apply with a brush you don't care about (I used an old toothbrush) and apply generously onto the tips of your hair. Wrap in foil for about however long you want to. Disregard the instructions because basically, the longer you go, the stronger it will be! Then wash out, and I didn't want my hair to be too fried so I slept on it and the next morning I applied the hair color. I did that for about 30 minutes to get this deep magenta look as opposed to this really bright purple the box said it was going to be.

And voila! You're done.

School is over!!!!! And although I had imagined that I would be blogging and taking photos like a maniac after AP + SAT testing was over, I still haven't managed to get back into the "camera whoring" phase I once was in. I realized that looking back at a ton of my old posts, my leave of absence has all been wrapped around school and/or extracurricular activities. And I'm not making excuses, but do you know what it feels like to be a student today?! Ahh, I guess the worst misperception that most people have of anyone who is nifty on the internet via blogging or anything "fashion" related is that they are blatantly, well, dumb. And whilst some may fit that stereotype, I'd like to say there are some of us who actually die in sweatpants come finals, et cetera. Needless to say, this year was a total pain in the derriƩre and cross my fingers; I hope it was worth it!

Senior year here I comeee!
PS. Dip dying post next!

AP exams are finally oveeer! Through prom, SAT testing, and AP classes, I've finally feel like I can have some room to breathe again. School lets out officially in two weeks and as my finals are narrowing down, I cannot wait for summer. The weather has been absolutely phenomenal this past year and in Aztec fashion, I would like to thank the Sun gods! On an even brighter note, I've got my ticket and sunhat in hand ready for Coachella 2012. $315 well-spent. There'll be no better way to celebrate my 18th birthday in Indio, California. Will I be seeing you there? hehehe
